One of Ontario’s busiest transportation corridors, Highway 400, began a major expansion project through Kings Township in late 2016. In order to waterproof the complete concrete structure along the Danube, concrete was poured entirely without any ties. The wall, 4.5 m high and 1 m wide, was poured usind single-sided support frames and brackets on both sides.

The repetitive slab layouts of a large 3-level residential development close to Linz promted the formwork engineers to use the panel method. The method is cost-effective and a very fast solution and since the set up is fool-proof and thus virtually error-free, this also adds to site safety.
The first and second pours used 3 m Mammut panels outside and 2.50 m high panels on the inside without compensation areas and without vertical joint imprint.
